Default Shearwater

Shearwater is a alt rock band. Although, I personally don't describe them as such. They have a very classy sound, you definitely need an open mind when you listen to them. I'd include a link, but atm I do not have enough posts. So please check them out on youtube, preferably a song such as Rooks. Tell me what you think : P

Just came across Shearwater yesterday. Listening to the album Rooks at the moment. Some interesting stuff. Might need a few listens to get a feel for it.

That's a good one. You should try Palo Santo, too.

I must say Rooks has really grown on me. Didn't know what to make of it on first listen but really enjoying it now. Palo Santo is good too. Thanks for the tip Jack Pat.

I missed the release of Animal Joy in Feb this year but so far I don't feel like I was missing much. I'll give it a few more listens but I'm pretty underwhelmed so far which is disappointing after being so taken with Rook and Palo Santo.

That was my intro to them a month or so ago. A few good/great songs but otherwise it's not my style.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

They opened for Dinosaur Jr. on their most recent tour and had the audience bored to death...

Shame they haven't captured peoples imagination. Animal Joy is a fantastic album. Dread Sovereign is so good.
