the Joan Osborne thread.

All right. Where's the love? Saw her on the Motown special and've never turned back. Saw her at Live @ 5 in Albany a couple weeks back, and she brought the house down and even made me cry with Crazy Baby (song has a personal meaning to me, however). Bought the new CD there, I believe it's called Breakfast in Bed, and the whole thing just sounds GORGEOUS. So, where's the love for this dame? Let's do favorite songs and why, albums, all her good stuff vs. What If God Was One Of Us, that sort of thing.

I have Relish, but I never saw anything special about her.

Indeed. But don't judge her off the What If God Was One Of Us thing. The woman dabbles heavily in blues and her appreciation and admiration for Motown shines through in the music. In my opinion, the dame's got a great soul and her voice is just smooth and calming. Makes beautiful music, imo.

What if Bob was one of us?

Then Richard Dreyfuss would go completely bat****.
