Must figure out this song (member, band)

I'm going crazy. There is this song that plays over and over in my head. I don't remember the name of the band or the name of the song and it doesn't get much radio play. It came out sometime in the 90s. All I can remember is that it has the line "this old man came rowing home to die" and the last line was something like "what it means to me" If anyone can please help me figure out who sang this song and what the name is it would be greatly appreciated. email me at edkittley@yahoo.com
