Rock n' roll doesn't need to be saved. It's doing just fine.

I think we touched on this subject before but I don't remember you putting your money where your mouth is. So, let me know 5 great rock albums in the last 5 years please.

Money meets mouth:

1) Ty Segall - First Taste (2019)
2) Japandroids - Near to the Wild Heart of Life (2017)
3) A Perfect Circle - Eat the Elephant (2018)
4) Manic Street Prechers - Resistance is Futile (2018)
5) Queens of the Stone Age - Villains (2017)

That'll probably happen before you finish your Fall journal. Just put Levitate in there and call it a day already.

None of those are from fresh and new artists though.

That wasn't part of the original question. Don't go moving the goalpost on me now, I gave you what you asked for.

Rock is only alive and well if fresh new artists are pumping out great records?

Of course. If there's no new talent to carry the torch, then even if the rock mainstays keep churning out records (although I would say most of those bands are well past their prime), all we have to do is wait for them to die off. It's true, Mick Jagger is still alive, but do the Rolling stones keep rock and roll alive? Or is rock and roll in fact, enabling them to have some sort of unnatural hold on life?? Hmmm??
