Kind of surprised to not find a thread on the Eels already.
I've really only heard there first two album, Electro-Shock Blues and Beautiful Freak, Thought they were amazing. I've heard a few songs from there later albums and wasn't overwhelmed, so I haven't really went on from Electro-Shock. You're thoughts? |

His latest release only got a cursory listen from me. Sounded kinda ordinary. Beautiful Freak is fantastic though.

Daisies of the Galaxy stands out as my favorite eels album.
It's interesting how E can make the most non-mainstream songs and at the same time pump out pop hits that end up in kids movies. Great band with many excellent songs. |

His earlier stuff was fantastic. Hombre Lobo, this year's release, was very boring and I haven't heard Blinking Lights. Beautiful Freak is my personal favorite. Wasn't one of their songs in Shrek or something like that?
