Probably because every band has an epic thread that dates back to 2004, 2005, etc- and you're only looking at the first pages. Try skipping ahead to page 34 in a thread to see some new stuff.

People like to cling to past threads here it seems. At least this forum knows how to use the search function.

Also make sure your settings aren't set to show older threads first.
