Favorite Alternative Bands?
 

If a thread like this has already been posted recently then I'm sorry. Didnt do it on purpose.

Anyway, to name a few:

Stereo Skyline, All Time Low, Hey Monday, Paramore, The Friday Night Boys, Cash Cash, We the Kings, The Maine, Mayday Parade, Forever the Sickest Kids.

Are any of these ^ not considered Alternative? Any ones you think i might like? What are your favs? :)

Most of those are pop rock. xD

-__- darn... i feel like a n00b. Then name some bands that are alternative.

All those bands are unoriginal. seriously, I'm 15 so my band is mostly restricted to little teen clubs. all of the other bands there are either hardcore/deathcore or stuff very similar to the bands you listed. It's pathetic and these bands passing for "alternative" today just suck. What happened to alternative bands like smashing pumpkins, jane's addiction, dave matthews band etc.?

Way to not perpetuate the indie/alt elitism :(

Favorite alt. rock or indie bands? Nirvana, R.E.M., the Pixies, and the Smashing Pumpkins. Definitely.

Nirvana is grunge. No?
