Default weekends

two-piece making riffy psych-folk from balitmore. anyone else heard of them? they remind me of a less eccentric guided by voices. they sometimes switch instruments, which is kind of cool.

There is a pretty good experimental scene in Balatimore City, completely different story in Baltimore County. Pretty good stuff I'll look around for an album or two.

EDIT: First album is free to download and put up by Weekends.

haha the wire is mainly in west baltimore. anywhere else, you really won't get shot. charm city art space is really the only constant venue in baltimore. Weekends plays at a lot of different places like copycat (an apartment warehouse building) and stuff like that. and yes loose lips is right. There is a really big noise scene in baltimore city. like a lot of mica (maryland institute college of art) people go to those shows. Weekends are the only local noise band i've heard that i really like too much. They were playing with teenage cool kids at ccas not too long ago but i didn't end up going. Baltimore county though....nothing special, maybe like pop-punk or any scene related **** happens there...which is where loose lips and i live. I saw towers and diablero at this one house in baltimore county (the gypsy cabaret [pretty much these people that sell fallafel at farmers markets haha]) but they only put on shows like once in a blue moon and are friends with jeremy from dawn treader I believe.

To Loose Lips: do you ever go to any shows in baltimore, I kind of remember having this convo with you but I forget.

Anticipation:
you really seem to like baltimore a lot haha. Thats pretty cool. A lot of bands here, I kind of take for granted here i guess haha.

Not to much because I have to get a ride to the Ottobar or wherever, last time I went in the city was when I went to the John Hughes night at the Ottobar. And I might be going to See the Dirty Projectors there next month.
