Check out This is a Long Drive for Someone With Nothing to Think About (1996), The Lonesome Crowded West (1997), Building Something Out of Nothing (1999), Baron Von Bulls*it Rides Again, all of these are great albums

I read they started out in '93 in a shed behind his (Isaac Brock) mother's trailer. Look at them now!

I like modest mouse. My favorite work of theirs has to be from 97' "Lonesome Crowded West" and "The Fruit That Ate Itself" are really good cds. Their new stuff sounds good as well. =)

They sign with a major label, then suddenly people are saying Float On is the best song in the world. Their most recent release contains nothing like their ealier work like Dramamine, Lounge, Tiny City Made of Ashes, Broke, Never Ending Math Equation, or Out of Gas. I agree wit Jib for the most part. Their new one had some good ones, lots of bad ones, and two of the most annoying singles I've ever heard.

I`ve never EVER seen what the big deal about this band is.

Modest Mouse to me were one of the most overrated dullest bands ever , and this conclusion was reached from listening to their old stuff , not this new 'sell out' or whatever Modest Mouse.

It`s not that they`re bad , I`ve just heard this kind of stuff done time & time again by thousands of other bands.

I have never liked them, and I doubt I will later on... I dont know what it is about them, they just dont sound appealing to me at all.

.

They're sellouts because they came out with a popular tune...
