acctually i thought taht wasn't the best song on the album...it gets better after that...but this new one !!! not a bad song amongs them
i have the 'make up the breakdown' album, and have just heard goodnight, goodnight and i think its all awsome.
okay, it took me a long time to find this thread! i'm enquiring about the hot hot heat albums. is elevator the second or third album because i went on to letsingit.com and looked for the discography because my computer went all funky when i typed in hothotheat.com! so is 'scenes one through thirteen' one of their albums and what is 'wake up the breakdown' like compared to 'elevator' because some say it's weaker???
elevator is better then make up the brakedown but MUTB is still a great record, you'll see, you'll love it....and scenes one through thirteen is an ep or something, don't bother with that, the singer is someone else and they sound completly different....
cool, thanks! now i can begin my cunning plan........*rubs hands together*
well ive only heard bandages from them but its an awesome song. i should download the entire album though...

Elevator= Huge disappointment...I wanted them to come back with this great genre-defining LP full of all those great hooks from MUTB..but.....I dunno...Most of the songs could have been B-Sides to the singles for MUTB. Steve Bays has become a great PopRock lyricist though. His words are witty especially on Goodnight Goodnight, and the rhythm and flow on Pickin' It Up is fantastic...His vocals on the other hand p*ss me off immensely. Jingle Jangle, great lyrics (like an embodiment of Death Of A Salesman) but ruined by that skin-crawling accent he sings it in....He sounds like a bottle of maple syrup....BLOODY CANADIANS!
I'm afraid if they don't pull summat special outta that sack of talent they have they will fade into obscurity. Rant over. |
