Mock Orange
 

A friend from home sent me the album Mind is not Brain by Mock Orange and I'm listening to it still right now. I can't believe I've been missing it all these years... they've been around since the 90's and I don't think I've ever even heard of them before. It's easily one of the best indie rock albums I've heard lately. They have a real nice melodic laid back sound, fantastic stuff.



Any other fans around?

Yes, Nines & Sixes is one of my favourite albums of the 90's. Good call.

I have that one too, probably the only one of theirs I've heard. I remember liking it, a few tracks in particular, but right now my mind draws a blank as far as remembering the sound.

Watching the vid now...VERY Pavement-ish in the beginning, some BtS and Modest Mouse sounds later on. Not bad. I remember them being a bit more on the emo (90s emo) end of things.
