Also, judging from your list, Squirrel Bait, Bastro, Lungfish, Dag Nasty, Texas is the Reason, Mock Orange, American Football, Mineral, Braid, Jawbox, Shudder to Think, Rites of Spring, Beefeater, Indian Summer, Faraquet, Don Caballero, Saccharine Trust and The Effigies are bands off the top of my head that you may appreciate.

Thanks for all the suggestions.
I've already got Bastro, Lungfish, Dag Nasty, Texas is the Reason, Jawbox, Shudder to Think, Rites of Spring, Beefeater, Faraquet, and Don Cab in my arsenal. Any albums from the other ones that you recommend?

Thanks again!

I'm looking to discover new music.
Some bands I like are Fugazi, Dinosaur Jr, Pavement, Modest Mouse, Sonic Youth, Joy Division, Radiohead, Jawbreaker, Neutral Milk Hotel, Cap'n Jazz, and Unwound.

So, any recommendations?

This thread is frickin sweet! I've been meaning to try Neutral Milk Hotel, Yo La Tengo, Nick Drake, Pavement, Dinosaur Jr for a while now, sort of being prompted :)

One thing I did want to ask though, has anybody got any recommendations for bands of a similar ilk to The Long Blondes? Kate Jackson has just formed a new group and I'm keeping an ear out for them, but for me, ive never come across anything quite like them! I suppose it's the lyricism that gets me though. Works soooo well with the sound, too.

Or anything like Death From Above 1979 or Eagles of Death Metal?

I really love Best Coast right now and am infatuated with their album. Can anyone recommend me some more bubble gum girl indie pop music. Anything I especially love the lovey dovey stuff

You might like these:

You could even go back to the 60's and listen to Shangri-La's, probably the main inspiration for a lot of these bubblegum indie pop bands

Awolnation is a great band, thzy are so unique I have a hard time explaining their sound. One if the songs Sail is pretty popular but it doesn't do the their album Megalithic Symphony justic. I got it yesterday and I'm addicted. So if your looking for somthing creative and new I highly recommend cheaking it out.

I'm looking for bands similar to the Decemberists, Death Cab for Cutie, The Paper Kites, WIM, She and Him, Mumford and Sons, and The Dear Hunter.
