"This Is Our Music" kind of disappointing me at first, but I've warmed up to it. And I am with you on the voice, he sounded so sunny and welcoming to me. The musical chemistry hit me later on.

btw I only bring up shoegaze because you often see G500 mentioned in association with that style of music.

Yeah, I understand. Galaxie 500's has a certain immediate emotional grip on you when you hear it. You kind of fall into it, and their music just ends up meaning a lot more in the end. I do love Loveless and all, but if push came to shove I could live without it, just because I only see it as the brilliant music, and not brilliant music + some sort of other connection. |
