Then that's my problem. I can't ever get into music that shouldn't be taken seriously.
Still, I don't want to leave you on the farm has an incredibly beautiful melody |

And they're so awesome live... probably the most fun I've ever had at a show. I hope you enjoy it! Edit: I had to post some songs too. :D |

You know what? I'm gonna cook up a mixtape and upload it here for educational purposes! :hphones: |
And regarding their seriousness; I'd say that the music they perform is definitely serious (most of the time), but that's the thing about them that makes them so great - ambiguity. Are they kidding? Well, with a song like "Waving my d i c k in the wind" it's obvious that they are, but with songs like "Spinal meningitis" in which they imitate a hospitalized child pleading to his ma? Well, they obviously aren't serious about it, but they sure as hell aren't joking either.

I guess that's where meaning is taking over from music.

Hold on, I've just put together their most accessible songs and will post a link in a moment. :yeah: |
Very welcome. I won't listen to it right now (it's 3am here ;)), but I will soon.
It's not that I really mind music that's not very accessible, I just don't get what's so interesting about Ween's music. And I mean the music. Not the lyrics, not the meaning, the music. |
