Default Prolapse

Mid 90's Indie band from the UK, stuff along the lines of Pavement with a poppier feel. They formed in 1991 and broke up in 1999 and during those 8 years released 4 lps and scores of eps and were regarded fairly highly since they were helped by Ian Curtis for their first album. Well, they obviously never did too well as far as success, flopped from one label to the next like many other bands before them, but I'm listening to them right now and I'm loving them. I don't have anything from them but I'm going to go to the record store tomorrow and see if they could order at least one of their albums. If anyone else on here happens to have one of their albums and wouldn't mind upping it than that would be great.

In the mean time, check out this myspace, note that the vocals can be a bit off turning at times, but all in all it is some great stuff.

Amazing band, so underrated. Pretty much the best ever Scottish band.

I fucking love Prolapse. Backsaturday is probably my favourite, I like the fact they started out with the intent of being the most depressing band on the planet.

And weren't they from Leicester?
