Garbage - yay or nay?
 

Any thoughts on the 'Bleed Like Me' album?

Dont have the album, but to the band themselves (from what Ive heard) I'd say nay. Their songs are incredibly catchy sometimes, and theyre not awful, but theyre not a band Id choose to listen to.

I heard "Why Do You Love Me" and it was pretty kick ass and listened to a couple other sample tracks and they're pretty good so I'd say yay. Besides, Garbage never really went through a hiatus so they can't "MAKE A COMEBACK" that every newspaper is saying they will. In conclusion, definitely yay because Shirley Manson is so ****ing hot, I swear to God.

the tune is very very average however.......

they had good production but their music just never really inspired me on any great kind of level.....

Why do you love me is one of the worst songs Ive heard on the radio. And thats saying so mcuh.

The whole point is that Shirley Manson is in the band so it doesn't matter.
And you're disrespecting Butch Vig as well.

Yeah why do you love me sucks plain and simple. And I think they realised it after, and they added in that slow end part. Which only made it suck more, cause now not only do you suck, but you're trying really hard not to suck, and doing it anyway.

But their cover on the ramones disc was on fire. And I like their older stuff.

Old Garbage was good, the new stuff isnt so great. End of!

never hear her doin' anything contraversial though...she's kinda a bore....
I like their old stuff better....the self titled CD was the best.

I have Beautiful Garbage and their self titled one... both were gifts, because otherwise I don't think I would have bought them. Some of their songs are a bit too pop-y for me. So I have to go nay.
BUT I do love "I'm only happy when it rains".

yay/nay borderline, probably yay overall cause shirley manson looks great for 38, "why do you love me" is a bit repetitive though but I haven't heard their other songs on "Bleed like me".

I also preferred their self-titled album, it rocked, their new stuff is a bit poppy, kinda reminds me of a certain band which I won't mention, I'll leave you all to work it out for yourselves.

Stupid Girl

The Bleed like me album seemed to leanmore toward pop tis time around.
However, I do lke the lyrics to this album more than I liked th elyrics to say the beautiful garbage album.

The song why do you love me is a good song. But the song bad boyfriend should've been the first release of fthe album. I think it would've had more appeal especially to people who wouldn't normally listen to garbage. But that may be a bias since I personally think that song was the best one on the album.
But nothing can compare to their hits like Only Happy When it rains or breaking up the girl

shirley manson's voice is still gorgeous, simply sexy and sultry.
