Default Ben Folds

Whats the general position on him? I ask this mostly because he's not so well known here in the states and since we have a alrge brittish pop, I was wondering if he has ocean crossing appeal.

Someone lent me his new CD, and the song "jesusland" (which sounds like "Ill stand by you") is pretty great. His work with Ben Folds Five was pretty good I think, and he's slowly building his own catalouge. Potential?

I have a decent enough collection of both Ben Folds and Ben Folds Five,
and I get the impression that he offers a sort of pop-rock, almost Ben Kweller-esque sound.

However, I'm not sure if his appeal what one would consider 'ocean crossing,' but I'm sure it would catch on quite nicely were word spread.I

Is portland a city in England. Cause there are at least two in the States, in Maine and Oregon which are on the opposite side of the country. I'm unaware still of where you are from.

And yes this is still relevant, I want to know about populairty and reach.
