Hanne Hukkelberg - Featherbrain

Well, I love this album a lot. Thought I had already made a thread, but oh well. You could argue that her music is not exactly "Indie" but there are elements of multiple genres, so I may as well just put it in here for now.

Anyway, listen to this album and her previous work (as I am doing today) and let me know what you thinks

My Devils is a fantastic song, could've been on a Cocteau Twins album. I've heard people describe this album as being alienating in its weirdness, but if anything, I found it not quite weird enough. Still curious about her remaining discography though. Some great stuff on this album.

Rykestraße 68 is a better album, and a little stranger.

Been listening a bit to Hanna lately. Have you heard of Susanne Sundfør?

She uses more synths, and is a bit closer to Radiohead in genre. But they have similar usage of vocals, and are both amazing artists.

I've just heard some of her songs, really good, I'll look for the album.

Maybe it's just an impression, but I found some similarity to Zola Jesus in the style of singing.

Yeah, Susanne Sundfor is quite a close match. I'm not sure I'd compare her to Radiohead myself though.

Not musically perhaps, but to me she has much the same mood, especially on tracks like The Brothel. You can hear the influence.
She's also one of the best live acts I have ever had the fortune to see.
