Hard to find Cds
 

I'm having some trouble finding a couple of albums by small indie bands from 1991 and 2012. Searches on some of the major shopping sites (Amazon, Second Spin, etc.) turn up nothing, search enginges give me some info on the albums, but not where to get them. I'm trying to find time to scour the local stores.
Do you guys have any favorite sites where one might find such things?

Find out the record labels that signed these bands. Then go to the label's website and see if you can purchase the albums directly from the label.
K,Sub Pop, Amphetamine Reptile,and 4Ad all have shopping sections on their sites.

With a lot of small indie bands from the 90's you'll find that their CDs or records are long deleted and out of print and sometimes their record labels defunct.

You'd be lucky to find something on eBay so the best you can do is scour the internet for mp3s. Can you give us examples of bands you're looking for?

The main things I'm looking for are Waiting for the Undular Bores by Big Sad Guy and Carport Thunder vol.1, which featured 4 bands, including The Gutterleaves.
Both were led by a friend of mine I had lost touch with, John Eric Johnson, who I just learned passed away last year at the age of 52.
He was a great guy.
I might have a handle on some personal connections, waiting for responses to see what pans out.
Other bands he was involved with, most of which apparently didn't produce any records are Cufflinks, Mumble, Evil Roy Slade, Macho Hall of Fame and The Rivet Gang.

Well, hard-to-find CDs could be found on the street shops. However, on these shops there is no guarantee that things that are provided by them are genuine. So choose at your own risk!!!
