Overplayed Songs On Alternative Radio?
 

Have you ever heard an alternative station play a song ad naseum? I once caught my local alternative station playing Volbeat's "Lola Montez" 3 days in a row, quite a feat for a band I'd never heard of. So what song is it for you?

Radiohead Creep gets played to death still. Beastie Boys - Sabatoge, Nirvana - Smells like teen spirit and Red Hot Chili Peppers - Under The Bridge.

Queen - Don't Stop Me Now, from the radios i listen to :P

Wouldn't call that alternative, but whatever.

I'm sure its a fine song if you hear it once every 5 years. Once every 5 hours makes me want to jump off a bridge.

I can't believe they still have a contemporary rock station in LA. They got rid of our Mainstream and Alternative Rock stations in Boston. One became sports talk and the other is an EDM station.

Kerrang seems to play Smells Like Teen Spirit at least once every hour. I mean, yes, it's a great song, but that does seem rather excessive.

Jesus, I remember Kerrang tv used to play the video for that at least once every couple of hours. They probably still do, I haven't gone near that channel in years. Over-exposure can really kill some songs for me. Any time I throw on Nevermind, which is very rarely these days, I usually end up skipping Teen Spirit because I feel like I really don't need to hear it again.
