Sun Kil Moon/Red House Painters (indie, album)

Fans? I think Ethan likes Sun Kil Moon (Lost Verses is just about the best thing ever) but any other fans? The search isn't working, but I checked like 20 pvges back into the Indie forum, so if there's already a thread I'm sorry.

i've been listening to april

it is a good album but maybe a LITTLE on the fcking long side. it could have been about half the length and still been really good.

Ive had a Sun Kil Moon for a while, Im not sure what its called but I love it. I think it has a girl on the front or and angel? It was something I kept in my car and never really pursued to find out much about them.

Really loving Ghosts of the Great Highway at the moment. Probably my favourite album in a while.

I really love Red House Painters' self-titled (Rollercoaster) album. This song must be one of the most depressing and beautiful songs ever recorded:

I had a friend who was absolutely obsessed with this band. I felt really bad because I never listened to them, but thanks for reminding me about them. I'll try and give them a spin on the old gramophone some time.

They really are a very good band. They sound like country music to me at times and I've never minded the length because there are so many subtle and interesting changes. It's good music for driving around.

They're a really great band for just wallowing in despair and losing yourself in their music. Their albums are fairly long but you really don't notice it that much, you just fall into them and you're taken along for the trip.

Just got Down Colorful Hill and I like it a lot. What would you guys recommend next? I remember one of my friend's telling me to get Old Ramon a while ago.
