they're not even comparable imo. Jagged Little Pill has some bangers but Guyville is so much better

Maybe we have different definitions of "sell out?" She changed her sound to be more commercially viable.

All right, if you talk about her later albums then that's fair enough, but it's not really relevant when talking about Liz Phair at her best

No certainly not. But that's what makes it so bad. There are worse bands who were maybe more blatant - Hoobastanks second album was levels of godawful that can't be replicated - but they weren't good in the first place.
