Arcade Fire (tickets, great song, albums, show, quote)

does anyone like arcade fire? they are new, just came out with "Funeral" its a great cd.

Awesome album. I got my tickets to see them here in LA and am really looking forward to it. I hear they're even better live than on CD. Definitely one of the best of the year.

hell yeah, arcade fire kicks arse. I got the funeral album, and I tried going to thier show like a week ago, but i couldnt. so I am getting tickets for the january show. It's gonna own!

Right so i`ll probably get flamed to hell for this because it seems if you don`t agree with popular opinion you`re 'arrogant' or 'elitist' but what the hell i`m past the point of caring what people think.

Seriously i`ve seen so many normal rightminded people go nuts about this album declaring it the best thing ever , people who`s opinions & tastes I normally hold dear , wetting themselves over it like R Kelly at a primary school.

Yet it`s one of the dullest things i`ve ever heard, there are already a million bands that sound like this lot , what are they doing to deserve such praise?
Seriously every song to me just sounds like a monotonous drone.The thing just has no life in it.Easily the most over rated album i`ve heard since the first Interpol album.

So what is so great about this record ? Please tell me where the originality & the genius is because I don`t see it. And no 'oh but it`s great' replys either

^Hey we've all got our own opinion, and thats just fine. Though I dont know what you mean by everyone, there are 6 posts in this thread (mine makes 7), and i did 2, and you were the 6th one! i mean hell, thats not exactly everyone. Besides, we all got our own tastes. Thats all, no big deal.

I'd really be interested to hear what bands you DO like, because so far, you've only posted in threads claiming that you hate the band.

I guess you must have missed the ones where I said good things about Joy Division , Lee 'scratch' Perry , P.I.L. , Nick Cave , Belle & Sebastian , The Clash , Muddy Waters & many others.

I`m only asking why people think it`s such a good album thats all , You think it`s a good album , fair enough. I`m only asking whats so great about it.
