Hello! New to the forum. Passionate about music and looking forward to being a part of this community. Looks like a nice place with plenty of material.

As far as I'm concerned I am a 50-year old astronomer. Love science in general. As a kid I constantly sat in the backyard staring up at the stars. It was then I knew what I wanted to be in life.

Music? My favorite band is Pink Floyd. Favorite album is 'Dark Side of the Moon.' Favorite guitarist is David Gilmour. That's all you need to know about me. :D

Thanks for allowing me into your family and I look forward to meeting each and every one of you and engaging in fun discussion and debate.

Welcome!

I'm partial to the earlier era of Pink Floyd myself. Variety of taste is what MB is all about, I think.

Hey :)

I think it’s so cool that you’re an astronomer! Have you been to the Griffith Observatory?

Once. It's a must for those fascinated with astronomy and cosmology. Plus it's free.

Did you know there was a book titled The Dark Side of the Moon that came out in 1947 with a preface by TS Eliot? It's by Zoë Zajdlerowa, a Polish woman, who details the horrors of life under communism.

I randomly learned this from a great history book I'm rereading right now about the "passing of the communist illusion." Wonder if that was a reference at all for Pink Floyd or, more likely, just a coincidence.

Yeah I love it. It’s really beautiful at night too.
