Default Intro

Hi.

You can call me Stille. I'm twenty or so, male, and into all sorts of strange music. Mainly, I'm into black metal and folk music, and I love it when the two come together on one album. I also compose neoclassical/dark ambient music for piano. It's a dream of mine to release an album of my own one day... but I'm a bit of a perfectionist, so it might take a while.

I listen to music in many different languages. My username is German for 'silence'. I was inspired by one of my favorite songs of all time – Lunar Aurora's Im Gartn. The first part of the song is delivered in a spoken word style, like poetry. The passage that came to mind was this:

Der Tod muss so schön sein...
In weicher brauner Erde zu liegen...
Wogendes Gras über dem Haupt...
Und der Stille zu lauschen...

Translation:

Death must be so beautiful...
To lie in soft brown earth...
With swaying grass above one's head...
And to listen to the silence...

Pleasure to have you with us!

My username is French for "in the olden times" because I had a fit of nostalgia for old school forums and the 2000s in general when I joined this site during covid...

Your taste in music sounds really cool. I love German rock music myself, will listen to Lunar Aurora.

The early Internet was something else, man... so much simpler, yet so much more colorful and quirky. I'm going to make a personal website one of these days – I already have the domain name registered – and I'm definitely going to give it a '90s/'00s look.

The other great thing about the early internet is that you weren't supposed to be nice and PC and all that. That was literally the wrong way to use it. You could just say things...
