I was driving to my parents' place last night, and I see a big white blur running as fast as she could (adrenaline, no doubt) down my block, eager and excited to be home. She might have been hit by a car and that's what took her so long to get here. It's a surface wound, luckily, so been keeping it sterile and medicated (yes I've been through this drill before with other pets, including a different Pyranees.)

As far as the current conversation is concerned, our pets eat a lot of farm fresh eggs and homemade milk kefir (I often give them leftover probiotic grains to help their digestion.)

Woot! that's great to hear.

As far as the food convo goes, I don't think I can be bothered to get into feeding fresh food to my kitties. I may at one point in the future but it just seems too bourgeoisie right now. Also a bit pricey and out of my budget so dry food it is and I keep their bowl of water clean and refilled. I might get them another water fountain like I used to have.

Thank you :)

Honestly the only reason we can afford to feed our pets as healthy as we do is because we produce most of it ourselves.

You have a farm pretty much?

I'm a bit jealous. When I move into my first house, I'm definitely getting into gardening but not sure if I'm going to raise chickens/cows.

Chickens are actually quite useful in a garden because they till, eat bugs, and their **** serves as compost :)

I may think twice about the chickens then hmmmm

Swing and a miss.

I get the joke you were attempting to make but it doesn't make sense.

My roots is West Indian so while they were slaves in the Caribbean all they did was work on sugar cane.

The reason your joke falls apart is because slaves didn't own their own house which I will. Also I have no use for cotton or sugar cane. I'm only doing a vegetable garden because I rather plant my own veggies than rely on going to the grocery store all the time to get them.

And here I thought you were buying a cotton plantation.
