I am grown up! I have given my reasons, did you not read them? If you came onto a forum and someone disrespected your musical knowledge straight away and advised you that they knew more than you would you get angry? I think so.

you can contribute in 50 posts by not paying attention to these two threads.......

because when i was new to this forum...i figured everyone here probably knew more about music than i did.

No, if someone disrespected my musical knowledge then I would reconsider what I said to them and take their comments humbly but that is just what I would do...

I'm saying you obvious are too select with known bands to experiement with other music. If you had such an extensive knowledge, you would know about more than just well known bands.

Really? That is strange thinking. Honestly I am not arguing I just think that is not logical. It is a music forum and anyone can sign up. What if for eg:- Eric Clapton was to sign up tommorow, would you have more knowledge than him?

No it doesn't explain it all. Most of the time that I am not running or attending concerts, I research and get into new bands. I don't claim to be a genius. I claim to be more enlightened than your average 16 year old. hell than your average whatever year old. Besides, someone who still places Greenday above Rage Against the Machine...hmmm chances are you won't "annihilate" me in music knowledge.

In your opening post you stated that you had an ecclectic taste. If ecclectic is naming everything thats been played on the radio from 1975, that I guess I'd have to agree with you.

Greenday suck because they refuse to progress from the base levels of pop punk. Vague lyrics about their disillusionment, 4-5 power chords per song, verse chorus verse chorus song structure. They've been playing the same ****ing song for 10+ years.

and as for that last part OMGZZZZZZ!!!!11!!!1ONE!!!! A TYPO!!!!!!

welcome to the forum and even though i havn't heard of a few of the bands you like you have good taste.
