Kinda transferred from KMA...

Well, about two years ago I was addicted to Keepmusicalive forum, and i lost my pass and couldn't remember my account name and all of that good stuff. I saw this place and thought it looked like fun, so here I am. My name is Jay, I play a slew of instruments, but can hardly read music. I play more by ear. I play guitar well, and piano decently. I can play almost all stringed instruments, prettu much those with frets, but I can do a lil bit of cello. I love making electronic music amd mixing it when I have the chance to use the necessicary equipment. I don't go a day without listening to music. Right now, simply because of the fantastic In Rainbows, I am going on a Radiohead splurge. Other favorite groups of mine are dredg, TOOL, Queens of the Stone Age, Led Zeppelin, DJ Tiesto, Infected Mushrooms, A Perfect Circle, and many more.
Ok, so enough of me about music, and on to more about me in general. I am a Christian, and if you feel like talking or even arguing anyting theological, just message me or something. I always keep an open mind, as that is my biggest complaint about the Christian church in general. I end up being associated with hypocrytical, cynical, gooddie goodie, crazy wackjobs...you all know who I am referring to : ). Besides music my other big "passion", if you will, is exercise and healthy living. Untill about 6 months ago I was always sedentary and overweight. I thought exercise was a waste of energy, and that I should eat whatever I want. One day, and I honestly have no clue why, I started eating very healthy. Well, along with that I decided to start weightlifting and running. Not long after I became totally addicted to working out, and I do so 5-6 times a week. I am into whole grain foods, High protein foods, tea, friuts, natural foods, all that good stuff. Well, over a six month period I dropped 60 pounds, and got into the best shape of my life
Another thing I love to do is cook. My friends often forget my Italian background with the way I eat and exercise. I love to cook, although I almost never eat what I cook for italian meals and such. Simply through family background I have grown up cooking, and have become fairly good at it. I also like making coffee based beverages.
So, that is pretty much a short summary of me.

I found it to be an apt metaphor, and quite funny in a rather crude way.

LOL, wow. Hahahahah, forgive the way that I tend to take off with writing...Well, my poo is never hot and steamy, but if you want to discuss what comes out of my butt I will be happy to...well, actaully, my neighbor behind me is absoloutley insane and will gladly discuss bowel movements with you if that's what you really want (she kinda did with a cashier before, I felt bad for the poor girl)...actually, I could just open a S*** thread if you would like...and for savanahh's sake it could be a "crap and penis" thread.

ItalianStallion 01-15-2008 06:50 PM

Soooooo...anyone else in here a black belt in anything?

What do you bench press?

ItalianStallion 01-16-2008 05:14 PM

hahahahahha, well, I used that username because it was a nickname throughout highschool, derrived from teh fact that I came to farmland PA from philly, and with the italian background many people just kinda through the old Rocky name onto me. And as for my bench press, 245 freewight for 11 or so reps, on a smith machine around 265 for about 9-10 reps, and I max out at 330 or so...not terribly good, but it's a crapload more than I could do last april...i maxed out at like 185 then...

^ How to start a fight in a Manchester pub.

I seriously hope you don't use that as a chat up line either.
But I have a feeling you just might...

How to start a fight in most pubs. And from what I've heard of it, bordering on "riot" in Glasgow. Then again, by the sounds of it Glasgow is never far away from a riot no matter what is said.

right-track 01-17-2008 03:20 PM

Had a few nights out in Glasgow and I was pleasently surprised.
Down to earth and dead friendly, generous too.
Hardly got a chance to buy a round, some of the friendliest people I ever met.
Wouldn't like to get on the wrong side of a Glaswegian though.

ItalianStallion 01-17-2008 07:05 PM

lol, actaully, I almost never talk about my blackbelt since I'm more into music and such. The only otehr person I've ever raelly diuscussed martial arts with is my Public Speaking prof, since he is a master in the same art. I just figureded i'd throw it out there sonce there are probably a lot of musicians on musicbanter, and probably not as many blackbelts, be intersting to meet others. Now, being american, "pub fights" I've never started, but that's not to say that i haven't been in any barfights...now, with those martial arts aren't as nice as a glass bottle...or going to them with friends who are boxers...then the good mix of the two styles can come in handy...and i've never been to glasgow...shame, since I have some scot background as well

Merkaba 01-18-2008 02:09 AM

I love the Scots. Hilarious bunch.

Oh, well that doesn't sound bad RT. I had a mate who said that Glasgow fights were all out brawls haha and that it didn't take long for someone to get fired up about something. In hindsight he wasn't the best rep for Glasgow lol.
