Cool What's up!

Hi folks. I just stumbled upon this site from google. I guess I thought getting addicted to another forum site is a good idea.

A little about me- I'm 22, from ohio. I'm the General manager of my campus's radio station, Black Squirrel Radio, and I'm hoping to design for a music magazine when I finally graduate.

Hope these forums are as cool as they seem... talk with you all soon I'm sure.

It takes up the majority of my life, so I figured it would be worth mentioning. I guess there are a lot of "omg listen to my band/radio station/podcast/whatever" people in these parts.

Favorites: Tom Waits, Morphine, Coheed & Cambria, Primus, the Clash, Man man, 3, The Slackers, Tool, Tiger Army, Why?, Iggy Pop

Kudos for the Tom Waits mention. Some good taste you've got there, welcome to MB

Yeah, mine too. One of them anyway. Rain Dogs and Mule Variations are two of my all-time favourites

Rain Dogs is one of my favorites, too. I have a soft spot for Nighthawks at the Diner, though, since that was my first exposure to him as a kid.

Oddly enough, that was my first exposure to him as well. Very difficult album but definitely worth it when you really get your head 'round it (ie when you hear Big Joe and Phantom 309 for the first time)

Go figure. My first memory of it is my dad putting "Better Off Without a Wife" on anytime mom was pissing him off.

Ah, memories... haha
