Hi everyone
Hello! :)
I am so pumped to be here, glad I found this forum... definitely looks like a great group from what i have seen so far! Well, a little about myself: I am a senior, graudating with a philosophy and psych. degree... and I hope to have a business within the coming months, which will be my career. I am a musician, sax player for over 10 years... prefer alto and bari, as well a 7 year old guitarist (currently in love with 12-string... thought I need a new 12-string badly). I have a business for marketing bands, myspace.com/beermusicmarketing ...and it's completely all volunteer and no profit for now, but this may be my full-time business someday :) Well, I think I've intro'd myself enough haha. Pre-thanks for all welcoming replies! Jeff |
Hello and welcome to musicbanter. Not sure if your here to plug your own websites or actually post but name some bands to start off. (that you like of coarse)
|
Thanks Rezz, sorry if that came off as a promotion for my site... it's just a main part of my life, so it's a bit 50/50 ha.
Anyways, here's a little list of bands I like: E.L.O Kings of Leon Ray Lamontagne(sp.?) Linkin Park Led Zep. William Fitzsimmons Fleetwood Mac Jethro Tull Ben Harper Dave Matthews Band Aerosmith Sum 41 Wine & Spirit (local pittsburgh,PA group) The Lost Sea (another great local Pittsburgh group) ...there's a ton more, but here's a starter. |
stay classic with led zep man

|
Ray Lamontagne!
Are you liking the new album? |
Welcome
Also: Stop listening to linkin park. |
...and I will remove those ad links while I'm at it too.

RezZ, I am from Pittsburgh :)
I know Sum 41 an Linkin Park come through as the "get off the list" ... but I love LP's studio engineering. As for Sum 41, I'm replacing them with a The Best Damn Canadian Trio: Triumph. Veronica: Ray's new album is AWESOME! haha, I honestly think this was one of his better ones... though I have yet to put my finger on why exactly :P |
I'm loving Ray's new album, too. First one was lovey-dovey, second one was a lot of "waaaah why won't you love me"... both were great, they were just rather focused. This new one is all over the place, which is neat.

Def. Agree

Only thing that I wish Ray would do is get into more tempo or something... some of his songs can get a bit dragging at times. Overall though he is a good musician :) |
Best Canadian Trio =/= Triumph. That title surely belongs to Rush.

I am listening to Ray right now at work.
I agree with picking up the tempo. Songs like Forever My Friend, or Trouble are probably more of my favourites, for that very reason. But good lord, the man has a voice like honey. |
RezZ, you are very smart dude.. "Full marks" The only thing that bothers me about you is your psychedelic avatar, "the hallucinogenic pulsating colors make me dizzy. Recon though I can live with that. Who feckin needs religeon. It's only for the ones that fear hell anyway, "spirituality is for those that have been to hell..
Pitty that moron in the whitehouse doesn't have a slice of your intelligence and compassion Bush is soooo ugly, I think someone set fire to his face and tried to put it out with a shovel..::ar_15s: |
lucifer sam: We are awesome ha, good to see all the Pitt. kids around here
veronica: ray = honey indeed :p |
