I'm a noob. (country, metal, genre, fan, screamo)

Hey everyone. Just found this forum today.

I've been on finding-new-music quests a lot lately, since music's the only thing that keeps me sane at my office job. I'm trying to make up for years of bad musical tastes by finding lots of stuff I'd never heard of before, since that's where the good stuff seems to lie. I still have my guilty pleasures, but I like to think I'm improving.

I like some stuff from pretty much every genre, though I'm not a huge fan of country or rap, and I really hate metal and screamo. D:

Right now, I'm really really into The Hush Sound, and Patrick Wolf is awesome, and I've been into some folky stuff lately too. It kind of depends on my mood.

I'm always open to suggestions and recommendations, because I like trying new things!

I've been listening to Matt Costa (Songs We Sing) a lot lately. And Sea Wolf. I also like Margot and the Nuclear So & So's, Kate Nash, The Shins, Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin (Broom), Cake, The Faint, The Audition, Everybody Else... Still looking for more stuff to get into.
