Howdy! Purdue student?

Haha why yes, I am.

Unfortunately, I'm at the WRONG school for looking for peeps for a band. :/

I got lucky & found a drummer down the hall, but aside from that, Purdue isn't a good "people with musical talent" school.

Heh. Yeah, I'd imagine not. You ever go see Mike Kelsey? He's a really amazing guitarist from Lafayette. I'm not really into guitar virtuoso type music normally but he's pretty amazing live.

Nope, never heard of him, actually. Is he a student, or just someone who lives around Lafayette?

No, he just lives in the area. He's in like his early 40s. A friend of mine went to Purdue and knows him so I saw him a couple times in Chicago when I lived there. He's worth checking out if you ever see his name around. When he plays live he builds songs with a loop pedal, an acoustic guitar, and random percussion with whatever's handy. It's pretty entertaining to watch.

Try posting a musicions wanted poster on the main message board. You will be surprised how many people are probably pretty good, and just dont really talk about it.
