I've heard great things about Seattle's music scene. I'm moving to Olympia in a few months. I can't wait! What opinions do you have of the local music?

I'm pretty much a home-body, so I'm no authority. Plus I've lived here less than 3 years. But, people definitely are into music and there's no shortage of live shows. It's definitely not a city that good artists overlook when touring. I used to live in Houston, where I caught some great shows too, but it seemed to also get overlooked by small foreign artists. Or maybe I wasn't paying attention.

What kind of shows would you be interested in?

I've been reading through some of your posts today, good stuff. You should definitely stick around.
