man im nervous, this is my shot to be accepted..yay...im a fan of electronic music purely designed by advanced technology created by NASA. it is my goal to eliminate all musicians and have them replaced with techmonolmology lol..but seriously, old school rock, jazz, and the occasional metal for pumping iron. im an ex-drummer (not by choice)/ wanna-be guitarist (i suck lol) who's trying to purchase a used drum kit to feel useful...so who are you friend?

simplephysics 06-08-2009 05:09 PM

It'll take more than an intro thread to be accepted around here.. but welcome anyways.
I'm an all-powerful, all-seeing mod.

Alrite man, what kind of Jazz do you like? If your interested in the Jazz fusion side of things I suggest you check out a Jazz guitarist called Pat Metheny. In particular the following album:

Hey there! Welcome! I hope you enjoy your stay. What kind of old school rock bands are you insinuating? AC/DC, The Beatles, Elvis, etc.? Just how old school?

I listen to Pat Metheny, he's an amazing musician. I tried learning "Above the Treetops" and all I can say is wow! Do you play any of his songs? I just can't get it.

Yeah man hes excellent. I love the fusion stuff. The 'One Quiet Night' album is the best he ever did in my opinion, so chill. Nah man funny you say that, I dug out my guitar for the first time in about 2 or 3 years the other day and it took me about an hour to learn how to tune the ****ing thing again lol.
