Hello all

hey i'm a new member here. music is a huge part of my life (even though i just started playing it). I don't think theres been a day in the last decade where i haven't listened to music and i intend to keep it that way. I especially love live music and attend shows as much as i can whether i know the band/artist or not.

I love rock i guess indie/alternative would be my favourite genre but really i listen to everything except crappy dance/pop, you know top 40 stuff. not that everything in the top 40 necessarily sucks but that does seem to be the trend.

any ways just thought i'd say hi

cheers

Hi, welcome to the forum. I also don't care for a lot of the top 40 dance/pop stuff now. I like music like classic rock, pop, from way back and some Christian music nowadays, also. Say what you want about the 70's, 80's and 90's, but it seems like a lot of the music out there now just completely sucks - with a few top 40 exceptions. Maybe I'm just getting old. But it seems like lots of younger people are rediscovering bands from way back like Led Zeppelin, The Beatles..even 80's stuff like Michael Jackson, Prince and other acts that were in their heyday then.

I also like Abba, the Carpenters and Neil Sedaka.

I'm pathetic.

Welcome.
Music can be a huge part of your life at any time, you don't have to play it at all. [=
