Hi! My name is Allie. I'm from California. I'm a classical voice and philosophy major at UC Santa Cruz. I listen to metal.

Nice to make your acquaintances

I'm mostly into death metal but I listen to a lot of black metal too. My favorite band is abominable putridity. Other bands: abyss, austere, amon amarth, bathory, burzum, behemoth, blind guardian, blood red throne, bloodbath (but really only the song eaten), brutal death, dark tranquility, darkthrone, death, decapitated, dissection, edge of sanity, emperor, enslaved, the faceless, gorgoroth, hypocrisy, limbonic art, mayhem, morbid angel, rotten sound, rotting christ, suffocation, taake, wolves in the throne room and 1349 to name a few. What bands do you like? (not necessarily metal if that's not what ur into)

Not too much into death metal or black metal, more of the classic metal if you will. Slayer, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Sepultura, Diamond Head, Dio, Anvil, Judas Priest, Riot, Pantera, and one of my favorites, Sabbath. But I like punk too Ramones, Poison Idea, The Casualties, The Misfits, The Clash, Adolescents, and others. And than there is the classic rock, The Doors, Zeppelin, Yardbirds, Robin Trower, Clapton, Cream, Hendrix, Lennon, The Who, UFO, Van Halen, Boston, and others. I'm trying to expand in my library, main reason I'm here.

Metal isn't the most widely shared genre here, but enough people do show interest to get some discussions going from time to time. I have a two-part question though, first off is your avatar a photo of a tattoo you have? Secondly, if that is your tattoo is it Mjöllnir?

Yes and yes. It's based off of a 10th century mjollnir found in either ostergotland or gotland sweden. I've seen the same mjollnir credited as having been found in either place so I'm not sure.

That's cool though, the design tends to vary from person to person but it looks like you followed the same one that a friend of mine did for his Mjöllnir bone necklace he made.
