My name is Karrie and i'm a metalhead (clapclapclap).
I'm a 20 year old student and this place seems to have some cool threads about some genres i'd like to know better and could maybe introduce me to new music. Though i'll probably lurk more than anything.
On a random note, i also enjoy cheesy musicals. Non cheesy ones work as well.

Favourite Musical ?

I'm mostly into progressive metal, so bands like Pain of Salvation, Opeth, Ayeron, Judas Priest and Procupine Tree are amongst my favorites.
Kamelot, Apocalyptica and Moonspell are also teh awsum.
Except when Apocalyptica does vocals, the lyrics are just too cheesy when they do and they should stick to the cellos alone.

But i also like rock and its subgenres. Violent Femmes are one of my favorites, as well as Frank Zappa, the Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, Radiohead, John Lennon and recently the Beach Boys. And many more.

There's a lebanese band called Machrou3 leila as well, i adore them.
They're local but their music is truly amazing.

Singin' in the rain, mostly because of A Clockwork Orange.
It became my favorite after i saw a clockwork orange, for several reasons.
On Broadway, It's Wicked.
In film, Victor Victoria is right after Singin' in the rain.
Awesome ones include Sweeny Todd, West Side Story, Moulin Rouge, Grease and of course, Mary Poppins.
