For a dutch guy, swedish, norsk and danish are actually pretty readable.
I wouldn't be able to translate it properly, but I think I could get the essense.

Anyway, offtopic.
Welcome, mr. Clean ;D.

It's interesting that you say that. I've always found as an English speaker that Dutch is occasionally sort of comprehensible to me when I see it written.

Dat kan handig zijn als mijn Engels weer niet lukt.

--> Go on, have a go. The sentence above is a bit strange in dutch, but I simplified it a bit.

My suggestion : "It's a good thing then that my english doesn't stink"

Hahaha, very original. But no, not really.
Quite the opposite actually
Translated as literally as possible:

Dat kan handig zijn als mijn Engels weer niet lukt.
That can handy be when my English again not work out

Of course meaning: "That could come in handy when my english fails again" ;D.

I'll just stick to English then, shall I?
Dutch is actually really really complicated.
(which doesn't change the fact that people who don't speak dutch properly irritate me ;D)

Edit: The actual sentence I would have used, had I not simplified it, would be something like this:
"Dat kan nog wel eens handig zijn voor 't geval 't me niet lukt om fatsoenlijk Engels te schrijven".
Translating that literally is absolutely impossible.
