Hi my name is Steve - Anyone know How to soundproof a room

Hey everyone I'm a drummer and i'm looking for a way to easily soundproof my drum room. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Yeah man, glue a bunch of soundproofing material to your walls. And ceiling. Good luck.

To go completely soundproof is going to cost a bit of money/construction. You can dampen the sound quite a bit by buying foam and stuff, but it's pretty expensive.

If you want a cheap solution, I'd say hang lots of thick fabrics on the walls and line them with big futon cushions/mattresses. That will absorb quite a bit of sound.

Possibly, you could hang up curtains along the walls. That might be relatively inexpensive and it might not look like **** which is a nice bonus. Just how much it would help, I'm not sure, but it's bound to help some at least.
