New here
Well not much to say.
Obviously I love music since I joined a music forum. Huge fan of sludge metal, crust punk, grindcore, hardcore punk, powerviolence, thrashcore, crossover thrash, thrash metal, and alternative rock. Like some death metal, black metal, country, and hip hop. Play guitar, a bit of bass, and sometimes jam on drums. Anyway just saying hey looks like a cool place so I plan on sticking around. |
I clicked this thread so quickly after seeing "Buzzov*en", dude. Welcome. Some great taste you got going on there man. Hope you stick around.
|
Thanks man.
I plan on it. |
Favorite sludge?

Really dig a lot of the hardcore punk, folk / country / blues, and Tom Waits that you mentioned. I like a bit of the other stuff, too, though - Good taste!
In particular, kudos for the Richard Thompson, Bob Dylan, and Tom Waits! Welcome, man! |
Thanks guys.
|
Dude, I don't think I've ever heard of power violence before. Must look into this. Oh, and welcome, the entrance fee is five bucks.
|
^While I listen to powerviolence its certainly not a genre made for most people. With that being said if you're a fan of grindcore or chaotic music in general and are open minded, you can probably get into it. Most people would recommend you Infest, which I do, and Magrudergrind, which I do, but I am going to link you to Infest and Despise You instead. Also, Man Is The Bastard is another big band in the genre.
/sorry for hijacking this welcome thread. :( |
Sounds like hardcore at double speed. I can here the dude in Infest yelling about "unity", so yeah, it sounds like really fast hardcore.
|
Infest was one of the early bands in the scene so they were a bit more hardcore oriented than many of the newer bands. Yeah.
|
Banned already? What the **** happened there?
|
you weren't around when it happened and got swept under the rug. it's no big deal and probably just a temp ban
|
Allright then.
I don't ever understand temp bans (either you **** up good or you talk about it). But I'll see him coming back sometime then. |

He was basically being a huge douche in several threads. I am guessing he won't come back, and if he does will act the same way. He seems like that type of person to me.
|
Ghehe, it's never to late to learn from Mr. Dirty ;).
I dunno. I didn't have any problems with him. Didn't care about him either. |

I sort of unintentionally avoided him, I guess.
Ah well, he'll probably stay clear of this place after he reads this :D. |

This doesn't need to be discussed any further so I'm locking the thread. |
