Default Introductions

Hi, just wanted to introduce myself. I live near Toronto, ON and I'm in high school. I love music, lots of Indie with Post-Punk influences but I listen to artist from all over the musical spectrum(Funk, Ska, Metal, House). My favorite bands are Bloc Party, Broken Social Scene and Iron Maiden.

Right now, I'm really into Math Rock/Post Rock, Drum and Bass and getting into Metal in general. I could use mentor. Someone with a solid knowledge of Rock would be nice but any kind would work.

Ah no way. One of my favorite bands is Iron Maiden, I'm in high school, and I love music.
**** Yeah!!!
I'm usually not this enthusiastic, I'm just happy right now.

And I'd be happy to give you some of my metal/rock collection.
Just PM me or post some bands you like on my wall so I could see what I could recommend.

Awesome. Metal has been my religion since high school. What are you getting into?

Sweet. By coincidence I am currently wearing a Lamb of God shirt. What kinda industrial? I'm actually pretty ignorant, so I would love to find some new ****.

I'm not listening to anything obscure really jjust
Rammstein
Nine Inch Nails
Skinny Puppy
Throbbing Gristle
Ministry

ps if you are into drums you should check Aphex Twin if you haven't already, he's electronic but "Come to Daddy" and "Windowlicker" are good drum n'bass tracks.

Yeah, I'm not too big a fan of all the new metalcore/deathcore bands out these days. It was alright at first, but now I'm just sorta bored with it and going back to my old school thrash and death metal.

I agree with Batlord's statement that alot of Metalcore is awful and I respect your opinion but ABR is one of the few bands that I enjoy in that genre and I wouldn't mind a mentor. So, if you want to guide my musical taste in a more acceptable direction i'd be happy to hear you out.
