Batlord, are right that you are sexually harassing this new MusicBanter member, because your sexual remarks about her body appear to have been neither invited nor consensual ( Internet Harassment - SEXUAL HARASSMENT ON THE INTERNET).
I wish you would not have made your comments because they do cause MusicBanter to be an unwelcome place for girls and women who join to enjoy music. Women should not have to run a gauntlet of sexual comments about their bodies at MusicBanter.
This is the first time that I have noticed sexual harassment condoned by MusicBanter members and a moderator. I was dismayed to see that no one has stood up to say your comments about a new member’s “tits” and “boobies” were inappropriate, since the official rules are that the site will not tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, or personal attacks ( Music Banter - Announcements in Forum : Introductions).
I do not want MusicBanter to be a forum where the atmosphere for women is unsafe because sexual harassment is allowed, so I am forwarding my concerns about your post and this thread to the other moderators and to Yac, the administrator, as well as stating here publically that I feel members in this thread crossed the line. |
