Hey guys, my name is Brian Kilpatrick. I'm a singer/songwriter out of Hollywood, CA. Born and raised in Richmond, VA. One of my big influences of my music would have to be Dave Matthews. I'm just trying to get my foot in the door of the music industry. I've been playing a lot around the Hollywood area recently, and I'm about to go full force into it. I guess we'll see what happens. If I can make a living off music, I'd be happy.

Dave Matthews is my main influence in how I write, but when it comes to favorite music I listen to, I pretty much love everything. Some of my all time favorites other than Dave Matthews are Dream theater, Mr Big, and lots of others. Pretty much any type of music. Except for rap, nothing against it. It just doesn't float my boat.

I'm always curious what people's perception of "everything" is when they say this. How far do your tastes stretch? For example, do you enjoy a lot of music from far outside your cultural frame of reference?
