Hey

What's up! I'm PianoLuva4Ever. As you can see from my username, I am a pianist. I have been playing the piano for 13 years now. I recently just started jazz piano. It is a lot more fun than classical. I also love to play by ear. I can play over 20 different songs by ear. Most of these are Christian Rock.

Some unique things about me

1. I have perfect pitch
2. I can calculate the beats per minute of a song without a metronome. I could also calculate how fast someone is walking or running in beats per minute.
3. I can calculate the revolutions per minute of a car engine just by hearing it's pitch

Besides piano, I play sax and guitar.

Well that's all my muisic life

Welcome to MB! I play the flute and guitar, and a little bit of piano (not very good at it though). I know a bit of saxophone too, since 95% of the finger patterns are the same as on the flute.

I was being a smartass.

Is it true that perfect pitch ruins the vast majority of common music for the listener who has it?

No, it gives one an advantage. It is awesome to have perfect pitch

But listening to the music of others would be annoying, yes?

Anyway, welcome to MB. I play piano too :)

I meant as a listener, not as a performer.
