Hey!

What's up?

You can call me Epsilon for short ;) I'm big into music! I was wondering if there's anywhere on this forum where artists can share their music without getting banned/yelled at. lol feel free to follow/share music with me. (Google - > Epsilon-144). I'll do the same and would love to chat with other producers who use this forum. Anyway, yeah. Keep on dancin'! I'll be around.

Cheers,
Epsilon-144

Unfortunately, this isn't a place like that, and we've got a strict policy against self-promotion. If you were to stick around and contribute to our community though, you'd find your work welcome in the future.

Who are your favourite artists?

Epsilon-144 11-05-2012 01:15 PM

Amon Tobin, Hudson Mohawke and Blink-182. lol you?

Amon Tobin! I love the song "Fine Objects" by Eskamon, the collaboration project between Amon Tobin & Eskmo. My appreciation of the song is so great that I decided to jump smack dab in the middle of your and Pedestrian's fast-paced, four-months-between-replies conversation. ;)

A belated welcome to MusicBanter, Epsilon. I enjoyed the eclectic sounds and bell-like tones in "Shooting Stars."

hahaha, thanks. do you make any tunes?

and yeah Amon Tobin is awesome! I'm thinking about putting an album up on iTunes later this year, should I or just an EP? I have enough material for a quality full length album.

Epsilon, I recommend that you present your "best" songs to the public at large by selecting your favorite four songs and putting up an EP rather than a full-length album on iTunes.

I also recommend that you ask friends, family, and strangers to tell you which four songs they like best (and why). Then you can consider if their choices match yours and make your final decision yourself.

If your goal is to have people pay, download, and listen to your music, then I feel it would be best to find out which of your songs people seem to like the most.

^ Of course, I know nothing about the iTunes route of sharing one's music, but my response is my "gut" feeling. Above, I posted the song of yours that I like the most. I recommend this one be among the four. If you return, I will tell you why I like it in preference to the others. ;)

In answer to your question, I do make tunes, but completely differently than you do, I think. I use vibration-based instruments that I record while playing them. I think your music is completely computer-based, correct? A disadvantage of my method is that it severely limits the time one can spend recording, since recording is difficult to do when one has little alone-time. So I try to stop myself from bursting with all the songs inside by letting some of my passion for music seep out in MusicBanter posts. :)

See you in four months! :p:
