Dirty Dan coming in to say howdy!

Hi everybody.I just joined this forum today,so I thought I'd drop by and introduce myself(as if anybody would want to read about me

).
Anyway,I'm not going to lie:I'm pretty new to music.I actually wasn't even much of a music fan until a few months ago,but when I finally did start listening to music with an unbiased ear,I knew I was hooked.
I generally don't like quiet and sentimental songs unless the singer is really good;what I like is loud and fun songs,so my favorite genre is rock 'n' roll.My favorite singer is probably Elvis Presley;as far as living singers go,it's hard to say,but I'd probably have to go with Stevie Wonder(I know,he's not a rock 'n' roll singer,but it's hard not to like him).My favorite group is the Flaming Lips.
I'm a bit shy about singing in front of people,so I don't sing myself,although I would like to try singing sometime later on as a side-job.
That's about it for me.Thanks a lot for reading.

Can't blame you for thinking that.I only picked Dan because I guess "Dirty Dan"sounds better than "Dirty Jarrett"(which is my real first name).
