hey

Hey, I'm new. After poking around a bit on the forum, I've decided to join up.

I'm taking a sabbatical from the follies of facebook and need to get my meaningless on-line time in, so here I am! And I lurve music.

As far as my favorite music, it varies. Right now I'm listening to Bowie, the Ziggy Stardust album. Black Sabbath never gets old. I also love Bombay Bicycle Club, Blind Pilot, and Vampire Weekend (I catch so much hell for this last one). And those meager offerings are just the tip of the ice berg of what music I enjoy. Oh, and Spoon "I turn my camera on" -- I flippin' love that song.

Glad to be here! Looking forward to possibly broadening my musical horizons.

of course ziggy statrdust
diamond dogs - the concept of george orwell's 1984
let's dance - for nostalgic reasons, my mom rocked out to it

Welcome aboard Katsy.

Did you know that was SRV playing the (lead) guitar on Lets Dance?

And Iggy Pop co-wrote China Girl. Strange Bowie would cross the Atlantic for inspiration, but he certainly found it in Vaughan and Pop.

I do happen to know that, thanks to my better-half. I have been forced to watch so many artists documentaries I have picked up a lot of information I may not know otherwise.

But if I am forced to watch one more Queen doc, I'm going to scream.
