Hello, everyone!

Basic stats about me:
-I love music (composition, production, mastering, and, of course, listening.)
-I'm a software engineer who specializes in 'Java to simulator' implementations with a knack for LSL.
-I'm a broad. Yep.
-I'm very sarcastic, which obviously doesn't go well with text, but once you get to know me, you'll realize that I'm a nice person with a weird sense humor. :finger:

Basic stats about me pertaining to music:
-I enjoy studying music theory in my spare time, and creating music.
-I play bass, guitar, piano, drums, alto sax, and banging on broken stuff to create unique sounds.
-I'm no musical genius by any means, but I do enjoy critiquing (with the knowledge I do posses) and giving/receiving constructive criticism and feedback.

As far as tastes go, it's all around the spectrum, but I do prefer metal and industrial (all subgenres included) most days. I have a disdain for country, but I do respect it in that it provides foundation for emotional reaction in regards to lyrical structure (a pretentious way of saying the lyrics are good).

I've been looking through these forums for a while, but only recently decided to finally make an account. I tend to keep to myself :)

Well, obviously I shouldn't keep to myself, but I generally do. Wouldn't be a point in joining a social community if I didn't plan on breaking out of my shell, now.

Omnium Gatherum, Cerebral Bore, Crysalys, Moonspell, Into Eternity, Destroy Destroy Destroy, Deadlock, etc etc - anything melodic and guttural. As far as Industrial goes; And One, Painbastard, KMFDM, OOMPH!, Agonoize, Flesh Field, P9, Grendel, Zeromancer, Garbage, Diary of Dreams, Diorama, Terrorfakt, etc. Like I said, I like a lot of stuff in these two genres and can never single anyone out no matter how hard I try, hehe.

I also like 80s pop, yep, and enjoy 90s R&B. Kill me now, but I did love rap before a midget obsessed with auto-tune and a soldier child killed it.

Oh and Batlord? If your comment is meant to refer to my months-long self-imposed exile in the fortress of my journal, then consider: I wasn't locking myself away from everyone in there. Anyone was welcome to visit, the door was always open. It was just very few people called by. :(

All I'm saying here is don't just lurk; participate. Whether you agree with or have a problem with my initial idea of staying within the confines of the journal sections, you can't deny that I was participating, even if I wasn't at the time taking part in any threads or anything outside that section.

Holy crap. Yeah, I was most intimidated there for a few until I read Batlord's post. I have heard and own most of those Hip hop artist's stuff, and you gotta have Alien Sex Fiend in your list somewhere :P.

I'm most definitely going to look up the other artists mentioned. Now I know, and knowing is half the battle!
