Hey there...

Yeah, I made a couple posts before saying hello....sorry 'bout that ....
I'm an almost 50 yr old music lover that realized he loved music at an early enough age to have caught all the great music of the late 60's and early 70's. one of my earliest memories as a young child was listening to the doors first album on my fathers reel to reel tape player....and going with him to buy led zeppelin II when it came out......lol.....yeah I'm THAT old....I also remember saving my allowance so that I could buy those early Chicago albums. On vinyl....and while the other kids where buying candy bars , I was buying 45 rpm " singles" at my local 7-11 store....( yes, they used to sell records there) ...

Anyway....looking forward to getting to know ya....

Welcome to the forums, 12barblues :)

We could use more old-timers here like yourself.

Hey there. I'm pretty new here too but welcome to Music Banter!

Just wanted to say those early Chicago albums are really great. I grew up with my dad always blasting Chicago Transit Authority album on the big speakers in my house. Chicago was his favorite band and I still have all of his vinyl albums he gave to me a while back. I've always thought they were a pretty underrated band - at least in the early years. The fusion rock was great, never been as much of a fan of more pop sound they went for in the 80s. Great albums, though! (:
