Greetings and Hallucinations

Greetings and Hallucinations, this is John-David Kraaikamp coming at you, also known as Mr. Initial Man, The Wrasslin' Lynx, or simply "Da Lynx". Yes, those ARE my real initials in my signature. *Grins.*

I'm into many kinds of music - something to annoy everyone - but I like punk and ska the most. "Of all the posers in the world, I must be the King. I don't know what the hell I am, so I'll be everything!" (Poser, a song I'm working on.)

I'm a tuba player, looking for a gig as a bassist or a horn part, but no luck yet. I swear, most of those bands out there are soooo cookie-cutter. Why don't they go for something unusual?

I'm about 25 years heavy, and 250 pounds old. As for the subculture I fit into, well, "Furry" is the only one that suits me. I'm not into any subculture defined by a type of music.

I've seen music from a different side than most, since I've done repair on horns. I hope to do guitars and drums as well, to broaden my horizon.

Well, currently, I jam at various bars in calgary. Or I used to, anyways. Haven't done much of that lately. Right now, I'm learning to play ska horn lines on it.

Do you have a microphone preference?

mrinitialman 06-06-2005 02:45 PM

I have one mic, and that is it. I don't even know what brand it is. One day, I'll buy a bass amp, so I can have a little fun with the sound.

SATCHMO 06-06-2005 03:38 PM

Dude, seriously get an Audio Technica ATM-25 Kick drum microphone. They sound absolutely incredible on tubas and baritone sax.
